What Happens When You Quit?

By

Choices Made Early in Life often Set the Pattern

Sometimes it’s the right thing and the smart thing. It depends what you are quitting.

If you are quitting cigarettes or other bad habits, bravo.

If you are quitting a bad situation that brings unnecessary pain, bravo.

If you are quitting in the process of getting something you want because you think the odds are stacked against you, you may be making the worst mistake of your life.

I have always used running to test my mettle. I have often wanted to quit, but I thought if I allow myself to quit once before I was finished, I would always quit.

Quitting is a state of mind. When you set out to do something, you can do it or not. Once you have accepted that quitting is ok, you will quit often.

Once you have accepted that quitting is not who you are, you will rarely quit.

Just remember, that once you quit, you will always quit. And once you quit, you will never achieve anything worthwhile, because few things worthwhile come without a high price to pay.
