A pound is about 33oo calories. Most bodies at rest burn 2,000 calories a day.
You have to burn another 1,000 calories and only eat 1,500. Its’ not starving.
Most exercises will burn 500 calories an hour, even walking.You need two hours a day.
I walk 40 minutes in the morning, 40 minutes at lunch and 40 minutes at night or
I walk 40 minutes in the morning and an hour and a half at night.
You should walk at about 3.5 miles an hour or 7 miles in two hours.
On the weekends I walk around an estuary and put in three hours in a walk.
You can do equivalents and either kick up the intensity like doing a Pre Cor, Step Master, Treadmill, Weights, boxing class, aerobic or kick boxing class. If you can’t put in the time, reduce the caloric intake.

Protein digestion requires more calories than any food so the old adage about food every few hours should be considered. Also, if you are exercising the body is willing to let go of bad fat for good fat.

If you are a breakfast eater try garlic and onions in olive oil and add zucinni, brocoli, jalapenos, pinto beans, avocado, and two eggs. Who says you can’t live good on a few calories.
For lunch any lean meat, a little white cheese, jalapenos, fruit or vegetables, salads
For dinner any lean meat, vegetables, fruit. I do a stir fry with olive oil, garlic, onions, zucini, brocoli, beans, jalapenos, chicken, and then I love to add some good spagetti sauces with mushrooms. And for dessert, I confess, two cookies.
I have also added a body cleanse which helps lose weight, cleans out toxic waste and improves energy. Why not have it all?
If you are going to do a strict two week run stay off what you know are bad foods and allow yourself a few treats so you don’t go crazy and binge. After you have lost a good increment of weight, stay on the exercise, allow yourself some foods you have avoided, and settle into a better diet. You should be able to eliminate most of the bad foods you eat and get to a healthier regimen slowly. Now and then you can eat the forbidden foods or drink but if you are 85% on target in the long run you will feel healthier and maintain your weight.
If you have a lot to lose take it off in increments. The brain fights big weight loss but it will settle into accepting each new lower level of weight. You can take it off in one week, two week, or even one month diets if you have the discipline. Make exercise a life long discipline.
The benefits of this exercise and food regimen are you get in shape, feel better, activate the brain, improve the mood (seratonin), build immunity, fight disease, and when you get the formula right-lose weight. Its a win-win.
